Leica Camera has today released new firmware for most Leica M models, including the Leica M (Type 240), M-P (Type 240), M (Type 262) and M Monochrom (Type 246). The firmware fixes a number of bugs and improves operational stability. Among all of the improvements, one should prove very popular - the end of the infamous “Check Battery Age” message that many users were seeing, despite perfectly functioning batteries. The new firmware also improves continuous shooting, allows the use of SD cards up to 512GB and more. Read more below for details and download links!
