Leica M10 to Have IR Sensor

We got a hot tip that the upcoming Leica M10 will indeed have a "black and white sensor" but that it will be IR (thermal imaging). Now, this is just a rumor... So take it with a grain of salt. Read more below for more info...

Leica Event on May 10th in Berlin

Looks like we're going to find out a few of the things Leica has in store for us in 2012 at an evening event to be held in Berlin (at the exhibition house C/O Berlin) on May 10th. May 10th? If Leica's past announcement on 09/09/09 (the M9) was any indication, this might be interesting. We have an unconfirmed report that Seal will attend. Read more below for the full invite...

Leica Camera AG Gets New CFO

The Supervisory Board of Leica Camera AG appointed Mr Ronald Marcel Peters (49) as the new chief financial officer of Leica Camera AG. Born in the Netherlands, Mr Peters will be assuming the functions of Mr Andreas Lobejäger (47) on 1 April 2012. Mr Lobejäger has occupied this position with enormous success since September 2007, but will be leaving the company at his own request on 31 March 2012. The members of the Executive and Supervisory Boards deeply regret his decision to leave and would like to thank Mr Lobejäger for his valuable contribution to the success of the company in recent years. Leica to Offer Photoshop Lightroom 4

There have been some questions raised by the community as to whether or not Leica will provide new M9 and M9-P owners the latest version of Photoshop Lightroom 4 which was released earlier this week. The good news is that they will - but there's an expected one week delay before it becomes available on their servers. If you have not yet downloaded Lightroom with your provided TAN, give it a little time. Those that have already downloaded Lightroom 3 in the past are eligible for the $79 upgrade pricing from Adobe.
