Leica M-D (Type 262) Coming

The rumors are building up surrounding a new camera, currently known as the Leica M-D (Type 262). It will be based on the existing Leica M (Type 262) including size and shape - sans the LCD screen on the back. Same sensor, brass top/bottom plates. The price is suggested to be higher, however - roughly $6,700 vs. $5,195 USD. It should be arriving at the beginning of May. We'll keep you posted! Preview of New Summilux-TL 35mm f/1.4 ASPH Lens

Today we have this little gem; a preview of the new and upcoming Leica Summilux-TL 35mm f/1.4 ASPH lens (posted by Leica Camera Korea)! The "TL" designation is relatively new, meaning that the lens will work on both the Leica T (Type 701) and Leica SL (Type 601) cameras. This lens was announced back in October 2015 alongside the Leica T (Type 701) firmware v1.4 release and will be available "Spring 2016" - or, soon! Leica to Announce a New... Smartphone?

From a Manager Magazine article called "Leica Enters Smartphone Market" (in German) it seems that Leica Camera AG might be introducing a new... Smartphone. With the name P9, it seems likely it will be based on the Huawei P9 and run at a price around €600. The announcement could happen as soon as this week at the Mobile World Congress currently underway in Barcelona, Spain. Read more below for details and updates!
