There's no doubt about it - this year's Leica Camera AG event at the Photokina 2014 show in Cologne, Germany was their biggest, by far. Releasing no less than eight cameras, eight lenses, a huge assortment of accessories, the Fotopark cloud service and a whole bunch of firmware updates. Even Zeiss and Voigtländer joined the party! La Vida Leica was proud to be the first website in the world with such complete coverage of all of these wonderful products. We'd like to thank our sources that helped make our predictions essentially 100% correct leading up to the big day! A lot of people didn't believe us... At first! That time is upon us once again - the biennial Photokina 2014 show in Cologne, Germany. We've already posted about the official Leica schedule of events... Now it's time to enter the murky area of new products we might see (as we did in 2012). As we told you earlier in July, Leica Camera AG will present at this year's Photokina in Cologne (September 16 to 21, 2014) in Hall 1 with a varied calendar of events. In addition to the unique concept exhibition at the Leica Gallery are other cultural highlights in the program, such as the world premiere of the new book "The Haight: Love, Rock and Revolution" about the legendary music photographer Jim Marshall (1936-2010). In addition, lectures and book signings are provided with well-known photographers. Read more below for full details!

Leica has released additional details about their upcoming exhibition at Photokina 2012 via a press release (in German). You'll recall from an earlier interview with Stefan Daniel that Leica took over the task from Köln Messe and will occupy most of "Hall 1." Promising a variety of work from photographers such as Dominic Nahr, Thomas Dworzak and Moises Saman, Anthony Suau, Elliott Erwitt, Araki, Rankin, Andreas Gursky and Hubertus von Hohenlohe.
