Leica Camera AG today has announced the new Leica Q2 - offering a 47.3MP full-frame sensor (over the Leica Q 24.2MP sensor) capable of DCI and UHD 4K video recording. The lens remains a 28mm f/1.7 (with built-in crops to simulate other focal lengths). The EVF has been upgraded from a field-sequential LCD to an OLED panel with 3.68M dots. The Leica Q2 is the same size as the Leica Q but boasts the same IP52 weather-resistance rating as the Leica SL with a new internal structure to support weather sealing. The camera's controls have been somewhat simplified, and drive mode options have been removed from the power switch. WiFi and Bluetooth are both available and finally, the Leica Q2 gets a higher-capacity battery (also from the Leica SL), getting up to 370 shots per charge. The price comes in at $4,995 USD.Read more below for all the details!

Leica Camera and luxury design house and manufacturer The Ernst Leitz Werkstätten have created a completely new and exclusive product line: two mechanically complex and sophisticated watches. The LEICA L1 and the LEICA L2 will initially be available for the launch of the Leica Watch. Both variants, designed by Professor Achim Heine, draw their design inspiration from the creativity, precision and the hallmarks of Leica. Design and technology complement each other perfectly in the Leica watches: both the front glass and the back case cover are made of scratch-resistant sapphire crystal, with the front being anti-reflective on both sides. Each model also has the patented push-piece crown with a corresponding status display on the dial. Both models will be available in selected Leica Stores as well as at watch dealers worldwide from autumn 2018. Read more below...

average of about 5%. Affected products include most M bodies (film and digital), nearly all M lenses, the black Q, TL2, S (Typ 007), many S lenses and a few other items (66 in total). To quote Leica “this revision is necessary due to the current exchange rates and the increase in raw materials and production costs.”
