HCB Exhibition in Rome

An Italian TV piece on a Henri Cartier-Bresson exhibit at a museum in Rome.

"Look there, where others only know how to see." This phrase captures the essence of the work of Henri Cartier-Bresson, his unmistakable stylistic diversity of his approach to photography, his relationship with the camera, I quote the words of Bresson: "My Leica is literally an extension of my eye "says Cartier-Bresson," the way in which I hold in my hand, narrow forehead, his mark when the eyes move from side to side, it gives me the impression of being a referee in a match I held before my eyes, which I'll take the atmosphere to the hundredth of a second."

Leica M3 Mural in Sarasota, FL by Anat Ronen

Anat Ronen created this 15'x20' mural of a Leica M3 camera on a wall in Sarasota, Florida. Read more below for additional photos!

This was created during the Sarasota Chalk Festival – November 1-7, 2011. For the first time, it had a “going vertical” addition – meaning murals and graffiti art. The wall belongs to a photography studio, and the owner took the reference picture that was the basis for the mural. I came up with the idea, and him being a photographer, took a picture of his own favorite camera. I work with brushes – the main mural measures 15’x20’ and was completed in 3 full days.
