New Leica T Announced - Details!

It's Zero Day in Berlin and Leica Camera has just announced the new Leica T camera system! Not just a camera, but an entire line-up of camera, lenses and accessories. You may have seen our little sneak preview yesterday or the specifications we've been telling you about since March 6th (which we nailed, BTW). Well, it's finally here! Leica T Image Shuttle App for iOS

The Image Shuttle iOS app for the upcoming Leica T (Type 701) camera is already available on the Apple iTunes App Store. It is not yet listed for the Android platform. Very similar to the Leica C Image Shuttle App. With it, you can control the Leica T with your iPhone or iPad. Read more below for the functions supported and screenshots.

New Leica X (Type 113) Camera?

Much like the previous Leica T (Type 701) discovered this way, site is reporting that a new Leica X (Type 113) camera (translation to English via Google) was registered at the Korean Radio Research Agency. This is an indication that the new model likely has built-in WiFi capability. This camera could debut as early as Photokina in September.

Leica MP and X2 Olive Limited Editions

DC Watch reports that a new Leica MP Olive and X2 Olive limited editions were announced in Japan to commemorate the opening of the Leica Store Kyoto, which will take place on March 15, 2014. It will be the 7th domestic store and located in the Machiya building on the main street of the beautiful Gion "Hanami alley" district of Kyoto. The cameras can be purchased there on that date and select other stores and boutiques as of April 1, 2014. Read more below for additional details and images!

Leica Special Event in Berlin on April 24!

Leica is promising a "special highlight" on April 24, 2014 in Berlin at 7pm... Telling us to keep the evening free and be excited. It's definitely going to include the new mirrorless camera we mentioned earlier. That being the case, one or more lenses to go with it shouldn't be unexpected.
