Well, I have been very happy with the results from TriX and Delta 100 for all of my documentary work.

Now, I am trying some interesting films, the first of which is Rollei Retro 80s. I just finished a test roll doing some casual snaps with the first of several rolls of this film and some samples are shown below. As I work my way through the rest of these rolls, I will post results.

So far, I have found it to be quite contrasty but it may be due to my local lab guy having to guess at the developing times. Still, I find it interesting but am looking forward to how the next few rolls work out.

Those look great, but yeah - they do seem overly contrasty. You shouldn't have to guess at development times. There's the Rollei Retro 80S Product Info PDF (courtesy of Freestyle Photo) and also the Massive Dev Chart which has this insane list of recipes just for Rollei Retro 80S alone to check out...

I've been meaning to try out this and some of the other "retro" films. So much to do, so little time...

This film is on my list to try as well. These samples certainly are contrasty...it will be interesting to see if that continues with other development techniques.
