That looks great, Ash - so much better than the original. It really should've come with this hood instead, I agree.

Pretty! Would you oblige me in posting a photo of that combination, mounted on the camera, from the side?

Reason is I might have one of those lenses on order, and need some "porn".. :)

Bought the 35 Lux FLE, but found it too tight and soulless (blasphemy??), so I returned it. Plan to buy a Cron 28 and 35 ASPH lens hood for the return money, still have some left over for a 50 or 90 in the future. I find that plan perfectly sound.

LOL! Nice, congrats! Sure, I'll see what I can do for you... :)

That was my feeling about the FLE too - I actually prefer the look of the regular ASPH (but of course that means dealing with the focus shift or going pre-ASPH).

You're going to LOVE the 28. It's got some kind of mojo going on. Similar to the Lux 50 (it shares some design elements with it).

It would be excellent, indeed. About the shift - I got visible shift between f/2.8 and f/5, gone at 5.6. These were all at very close focus distances.

Hoping I get to order this weekend. A bunch in stock over here in Norway!

Sweet! My return money is on its way,and I found a rather excellent deal on a cron28. Budget room for both a root canal and a 50 cron or 90elmarit now! In any case,I ordered a pair of Lux12589 hoods, one for backup and modification purposes, the other for actual use.

Looking forward to it!

That's awesome! ...and I'd take the 90 over the root canal. ;)

I'll have some time today to take some side shots if you still want them.

Thank you!

The root canal is happening, already started the first fun treatment.

My priorities lie with a 90 before a 50, in any case.. :)

I use the old 35 'Lux hood as well, much better than the one that comes with the lens.
