Michael, do you think this camera will have a CMOS sensor?

Not sure... It could be more like the M9 (and share the same sensor even) - or more like the M10. I just know that the M10 will have CMOS.

Just to set the record straight in case anyone is wondering, there are certain people (veraikon) out there spreading FUD - that seem to think we copied or otherwise got the Leica ME information from forum posts. Wrong.

We have an independent source and published the news a full DAY (at least) before any mention was made anywhere else on the Internet. You'll notice we also named the new camera (which no one else had done until the 29th @ SHP).

In fact, this very thread (Posted: Fri Aug 24, 2012 12:34 pm) was originally entitled, "You Heard It Here First." It was posted shortly after the front page story went live (which was Fri, 2012-08-24 10:35).

Nice try though. ;)

What's your take on the Leica EVIL side? Seems like Huff's crystal ball is showing APS-C sized EVIL.. I think we can be pretty sure that it won't be the FF Leica ME mentioned here + EVIL + M10. That would be too much.. In fact it's rather surprising to see 2 system cameras to begin with.

Personally either way is just fine by me, as I'm not a likely buyer.. but I deffo would like to see the ME rather than EVIL :)

The M10 will be the EVIL (with optional EVF). The ME, we're not totally sure yet on the sensor. It should be along the lines of the M9 (full frame) but it could potentially be APS-C. Personally, I'm leaning towards FF. As soon there's more info, I'll update everyone.

yea.... I was a little disappointed with the crystal ball... FF would be so much better...well for me. Time will tell.

I think I'll have to drive over to Koeln and see it for myself :-)

Looking forward to more teasers :D
