In the latest King Kong film, Kong: Skull Island, Brie Larson plays a photojournalist. Although she carries several cameras, she shoots with a Leica M3, what I believe is a Summaron 3.5/35mm dual-range lens, and a Leicameter MC. Camera, lens and meter are all in chrome finish (except for the bridge of the dual-range lens which is in black wrinkle finish with the old-style Leitz-Wetzlar logo engraved in white). The black cover on the camera appears to have been replaced with a thick brown leather cover. I would say that the camera is sporting the bottom half of a Leica leather case; however, the silver-finished bottom plate of the camera is showing. Perhaps it is a case with the bottom cut-off to make reloading easier.

And yet one more cinema sighting of a Leica: The Midnight Meat Train. Bradley Cooper stars as a struggling street/art photographer who shoots with a black-finish M4-P and what appears to be a 50mm Summicron-M with a vented black metal lens hood.
