The 75 apo summicron would be a great smaller/lighter choice and cheaper too! Sure you lose a stop of light, but with M240 even that wouldn't be a problem..

I may rent the 75 APO version to see how I like it. But I really like how the Lux version renders.

The lux is great if you love the classic Mandler style lens. It's less contrasty and has very smooth transitions and look. I don't mean less sharp, but that "velvet like smoothness" for lack of better words.

The Apo on the other hand is a modern laser beam, which will cut you bones deep with sharpness. Also quite contrasty. Very much like 50 lux asph, being it's sister in design.

Both very nice lenses in their own way.

To me probably the ideal kit is the Tri-Elmar 28-35-50 for regular day time shooting
and a 50 f1l4 Sumilux and 35mm f2 or 1.4 for available light and night time street work

I am a 75 Lux fan. My small kit is a 21mm Elmarit and the 75mm Lux. Both take 60mm filters so I only need to bring one set.

It’s a two lens outfit. My 75 f 1.4 and 28 f 2.8. I found over time that I did not have to have all f 1.4 lenses. With the exception of the 75 f 1.4 all my others are f 2.4 to f 2.8

I roll with the M10, and the 35mm and 50mm Summicron-M lenses. These days my walking around gear is the M10 and the 35mm. I like traveling light.

Haven’t rolled with anything for a while now [emoji31] Most of my snappings been done with the iPhone.

I know, I’m terrible... Just simple haven’t had any kind of inspiration or motivation to photograph anything really.

Have a week long vacation coming right after xmas. Let’s see if I’ll be motivated to take the M10 with me.

At this point, my lens setup is 28 cron and 50 nocti. Both lenses I really like. But for travel purposes, would probably be ideal to get another 50 at some stage. Though, somewhat surprisingly, I haven’t really fealt the nocti being a nuisance to carry with me.
