An
interesting report on the (now-discontinued outside of HK)
SLR Magic HyperPrime LM 50mm T0.95 lens by Erwin Puts.
Can be sharp but wicked curvature of field and astigmatism impact it greatly. Stopping down, it naturally improves... But you don't buy lenses like this for stopping down. Also quite apparent is the drastic impact even the slightest movement has on focus and why no two people seem to agree on its accuracy/calibration.

When the NHP is used for handheld practical shooting, it is a very pleasant lens to use with good performance, but not in same league as the NX, and landscape pictures can be disappointing when the effects of astigmatism are prominent. Used at maximum aperture one can get pictures that are comparable with the old Noctilux-M 1:1/50 mm. If you are looking for this quality the NHP is a good choice and probably cheaper than a second-hand Noctilux-M.

The tone of my report is rather critical, but one should realize that the lens itself is a very good design, but not well executed.
