Any experience out there? Trying to identify which of these legacy optics marries best with the Monochrom. Presently considering the Canon 35/2, 50/1.8, 50/1.4 and Nikkor 3.5cm/2.5.

Nearly all Leica 50s of that era that I've run across have scratched (soft) front elements and so am trying to dodge them. The 35 Summaron 2.8 costs nearly as much as more modern and faster 35s and am not certain it's even as good as the 8-element Summicron.

The Canon lenses are great bargains - and classic performers.

A lens with a long history... I have the FD and EF "L" versions of it. :)

I have a 35mm f/2.8 and a 50mm f/1.8 and both are beautiful little lenses. The 35 is my favorite of the two. Very clean smooth images.
