More bad news on the film (and paper) front. Ugh.

Fotokemika in Croatia has effectively ceased production of films and papers, affecting Efke and ADOX products. Efke films and papers are completely shut down, but there's some hope for ADOX films. More info here.

I've still got some in my fridge. I might just have to shoot it more slowly now.

Sad. Efke 25-100 where the films I first started shooting a couple years ago (love the high silver content). I'll have to get a few rolls of the IR stuff before its all gone.

Unfortunately ADOX 25, 50, and 100 are the same as Efke 25, 50, and 100. So that probably means the same fate for ADOX at some point in the future.

It's selling out everywhere very quickly. :(

Freestyle suggests you call as a lot of it is low on stock... Which I just did and ordered six rolls (and three bottles of the CMSII developer). They have 57 rolls left! Also picked up a dozen rolls of CHS 25 (half in 135, half in 120).

Good info, thanks. Truth is the freestyle store is only 7.7 miles from my place door to door, so I have no excuse...except for the fact that 7.7 miles in Los Angeles is quite a journey :|

The CHS films are nice but I didn't use them much. The curliness drove me crazy. I still have about 10-15 rolls of CHS 25 and 50 in my freezer. They're about 2 years old. At the time, I was experimenting with stand-developing with Rodinal at 1:100. A good friend of mine really loved the CHS 50 and is extremely disappointed. It was his regular outdoor film.

If CMS 20 was to go, I'd be upset. I really love that film. It seems like the film was made for the 35mm Summicron-M ASPH.

Fernando, I think the CMS 20 can probably show the capabilities of Leica glass better than any medium currently available (though many are claiming the Leica Monochrome approaches/exceeds this level).

On another note, I went to Freestyle today and they still have quite a bit of the Efke/ Adox films. I bought a dozen rolls of the IR820 and IR820 Aura

Well, they don't know what they're talking about. :) I'm not aware of any digital sensor that is capable of 400 lp/mm. Can the Monochrom even manage 100 lp/mm?

Yes, CMS 20 really shows what a Leica lens can do! It is just an astounding film.

LOL, that's so true Alex - it might as well be across the state. Nevertheless, that's pretty awesome and convenient! :)

CMS 20 is something else when it comes to details and resolution. I've been saving a few rolls for some architectural stuff in Europe. Of course, to get the most out of it a tripod isn't a bad idea - and I'd definitely agree, it shows off what good glass can really do. I picked up six extra rolls of it (and developer). I love these slow films and still miss Tech Pan from the ol' days.

I even picked up some CHS 25; half a dozen in 135 and another half dozen in 120. I haven't used this before so I'm eager to give it a go - especially with the Mamiya 7II. :)

One of my favorite films for more "regular" shooting has been PanF+ (in Xtol 1:1) especially in 120. I'm a sucker for insane detail. And no, I don't think digital has films like these beat (even MF).

Wow. Freestyle is out of stock on a LOT of Efke/ADOX stuff now. Seems everyone had the same idea and have been stocking up while the gettin's good.

I know I did. Just got delivered yesterday and went straight in the fridge. ;)

I think it's a bigger deal for the large format people than us, but I can see why everyone is stocking up...great products and the last true IR films probably ever
