Really Kodak? Really?

Kodak has announced that all remaining films will see a 15% price increase across the board:

""We have to contend with further increases in energy and raw material costs, and higher costs associated with lower volumes. Therefore, to remain a sustainable, viable business, the company is implementing a price increase for consumer and professional films"

No timeframe has been announced as of yet however. It was just last week that we found out that Kodak killed three slide films.

One might suggest stocking up on all your favorite films now... Or, start checking out the alternatives instead. ;)

Glad I've decided to stay purely digital! What with Kodak stooping the production of some types of film and increasing prices for other, makes you wonder what the other producers will do with their prices know there is reduced competition.

I'm happy to pay an extra 15% for Tri-X to put into my $6000 camera if it means that it will continue to be made, HP5+ is just not the same,,,
