Hi all,

I've finally bought my ultimate street camera (except maybe the Monochrom), the Leica M-E.

Here's a street review and pictures on my blog.

Yes... good article. Got me thinking ........ I've got a cello, several guitars and lots of effects pedals! 'mmmmm'.... Temptation is a terrible thing.

Yep, just how many guitars and fx does a guy need? :)

And besides, the cello is just so 'kin difficult.

Cheers,

Cello difficult?...Too true.. I've never been reduced to tears with my M2... Mind you, I haven't dropped it yet.

Truthfully, I was relieved to see the cello go.

Each time I said to myself "right, I'm going to try to play it properly this time", and with 'Bachs Marks & Spencers Chocolate Profiterole' for cello (I think that's what it's called) playing in my head, the result would be the same - screech, groan, howl, eeerch!!!

Do yourself a favor, get rid. :D

Terrific review, and great photographs. As a fellow M-E owner, I experienced some of the the same thoughts (and second thoughts!) that you describe so well. I love the M-E for the reasons you gave. Fortunately I was flush when I bought it, so I didn't have to sell my flute!

Congratulations and happy shooting!

We should get a band together. I suggest L.A for rehearsals.. purely for the added benefit of M-E photo oportunities of course LOL.

I don't know about you, but I need a few guitars. A Les Paul AAA flametop with '61 humbuckers for dirty blues and rock. A Gretsch White Falcon with a custom P90 Lollar neck pickup for psychobilly growl. A standard Tele for countrified chicken-pickin'. A Les Paul Special with P90s for straight up punk and blazing rock and roll. A Fender Dick Dale Malbu acoustic for laid back acoustic jamming and the occasional acoustic gig. And a nice original 1959 Gretsch 6119 Chet Atkins for pure vintage Gretsch twang and some hybrid Chet pickin'.
