Hi everyone! My Leica M Typ 240 seems to be crazy. Sometimes, when I use Auto ISO, the shutter speed gets different from what it is set on the dial, getting 2x faster then set on the dial. When I set 125, it shows 1/250 in the LCD screen. When I set 250, it appears 1/500, and so forth. Anyone already had this problem? I have to reset the settings, but after a while it happens again.

Hi, Kristian! Welcome to LVL. :)

Has it hit the limit for shutter speed and/or ISO when in this condition?

Thank you very much!

Well, I don't think so. And there is another weird thing: when I go manual, the speed continues to be faster than the dial... I contacted Leica by twitter and they gave me a contact. I sent him an e-mail. Let's see what it comes. I will keep you posted.

Is your exposure compensation set to -1 by chance?

Otherwise, that's definitely strange. Yes, keep us posted on this interesting situation.

No, I didn't set the exposure compensation to -1. Very weird!

They responded my e-mail saying that I ought send the camera to Leitz Park so they can check it out there. Unfortunately it is not so easy to do that in Brazil... Anyway, after my last reset I haven't had this problem. I hope it doesn't happen again, 'cause that is really annoying. In the last 3 ou 4 days the camera is working fine.
