Plain and simple as in the topic. Pls share your experiences.. I want to hear something real & practical about instead of copycat reviews popping up in the usual webs..

Sorry, I don't have a X2, but I'm sure if it's anything like the X1 it takes fabulous pictures.

Thing I don't like about it (how shallow), on the chrome version anyway is the odd black extension that has been added under the hot shoe. I know its there for a purpose but to me it looks like what it is an after thought!

Surly Leica could have come up with something a bit better than this.

Just checked the Fuji competition at a photostore at the airport. Have to say they didn't convince me. I've so far only seen the X-series Leicas through a window, but they seem about 100% more convincing. The fujis felt like gadgets and the user interface (menus & rest of operation) was pretty terrible. No thanks for them..

I've tried both X1 and X Pro 1 in store (not enough to draw any real conclusions) and the Leica felt similar to a small M and the XPro did not.

Good to hear someone here is going to have an X2 soon, please post some photos when you have them Jeff!

Sure will! Hopefully I'll be able to get out and shoot it this weekend. Adorama assured me it would be here Thursday or Friday, but it's still showing "Order processed, waiting for UPS". I'm getting pretty anxious... Oh yeah, it's a silver one - to match my M3 :-)

An X2 and an M3 sounds like an excellent pairing. X2 does the 35mm and an M3 can do everything else.

Don't give up on me. Weather has been awful and work has been killing me. Haven't gotten off more than 2 dozen shots so far - mostly experimenting with settings. I'll get some up on here as soon as I have time to shoot something that could actually be mistaken for a photograph. From what little time I've spent with it, I am enamored! I see this one being on my hip for a long time.

Have you seen the discussions about the X2 image quality from the various observations of other users in the Leica forum of dpreview.com? You will find the experience of others there plus tips to overcome the observed "problems".

I hope you will enjoy your new camera. Appreciation of a photograph is really subjective.
