Nice shot! Which lens?

On the M8 you might find you get better exposures with it set to -1/3 on the exposure compensation in the SET menu, pretty much as the default. It'll help keep the highlights under control as it tends to overexpose slightly.

Zeiss 28mm 2.8 with the IR cut filter.

On a side note........the clouds aggravate me. How do I handle this in the future?
It seems that "bokeh" is not my friend in this case.

The single best recourse for the clouds is probably the (highlight) recovery slider during your DNG conversion - other than exposure. Looks lke the cactus might've gotten too dark then. Try the -1/3 EC as well.

Better! The white of the clouds isn't blown out now. But the image seems just a bit flat - perhaps a bit too much on the recovery... Maybe a bump of the contrast now. What application are you using?

If you want to send me the DNG I can take a look at it and give you better feedback. PM me for my email address.

Aperture on a Macbook Pro.

Capture One gave me a hard time.
