Post subject: | Double exposure capability on M Monochrom? |
Hello, Am brand new to this forum. Have been a fine art Photographer for many years and have owned many Leicas over the years. I need to sell a bunch of cameras that I do not use and want to simplify my photography life. To that end I am considering a M Monochrom with a 35mm f2 Asph. and a 50f1.4 Asph. One of the things I like to do is take double exposures, which brings me to this question, does the Monochrom have this capability? I have been told "Yes" and have been told "No" so which is it? Thanks |

Hello, and welcome to LVL! The simple answer is, "no." There's no built-in method of exposing the same frame multiple times. However, in post-processing you can do it quite readily. For example, in Photoshop - you could have two (or more) layers representing your exposures. Let's say you have three. Set each layer to 33% opacity, and you're done. Of course, you can tweak from there. |

Hi, Thank you for the reply. Hate to say this, even though I do use Photoshop CS, I can barely do minimum work with it, and doing layers is not one of those skills that I have been able to acquire yet. I am a "OJT" "On the job training"kind of guy. I learn better if someone actually shows me, and I have not been able to find anyone local that can do that so far. I also like the creative aspect of being able to do it "In Camera" such as I can do with my Fuji X series cameras, just push a button or turn a dial and I am in double exp. capability. Thanks again |
