All shot with the Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH. From the Chelsea/Muttontown Preserve, NY gallery.

Nice series Michael. I like the side of the building shot at f/2 the most for its composition--the lines are great.

How often do you find yourself using the noctilux compared to the Summilux?

Thanks, Alex! I like that shot also; the lighting, colors and textures really caught my eye - and the camera caught it well.

As for which one; clearly the Summilux. But only because most of my shooting for a while now - has had size/weight being an overriding concern (e.g. travel). For most of the summer ahead, I do believe that trend will reverse... I like having the extra DoF control (especially in daylight w/ND as these all were).

That makes sense, Michael. I find myself a lot less encumbered on trips with fewer and smaller lenses...

I look forward to seeing what else you shoot, this summer-of-the-Noctilux.

One thing I love about the Summilux (and similar) lenses is the short focus throw and finger tab... I've gotten so used to it and really love its usefulness. Something neither the Noctilux or longer lenses have.

LOL, Summer-of-the-Noctilux - I like that. :)

I really like the short throw and tab too. I now have three of those lenses-my SEM 21, lux 35 fle, lux 50 asph...the mechanics of the hood on the SEM and lux 35 are perfect too.
