Let's see some of your favorite examples from the Zeiss Distagon T* 4/18 ZM lens.

Here are some of mine:

Still a bit of red edge on the M9 with the latest firmware when it's coded as a WATE @ 16mm - not ideal... Only visible in the middle shot though. I tested quickly with manual lens selection and set as an Elmarit-M 21mm f/2.8 ASPH and it was perfect (see the following post):

M9, ISO 160, 1/125s @ f/8:

M9, ISO 160, 1/60s @ f/8 (vignetting applied):

M9, ISO 160, 1/500s @ f/8 (desaturated slightly and vignetting applied):

Coding this lens as an Elmarit-M 21mm f/2.8 ASPH on the M9 is clearly the way to go. No red edge or other funny business. This shot isn't meant to be artistic, but give you an idea of what this lens can do out-of-the-box. No contrast or saturation enhancement, no sharpening, nothing. Merely a resize!

Leica M9, ISO 160, 1/250s @ f/8 (with aforementioned WATE coding; not ideal):

Why do you keep coding as WATE if the Elmarit is better?

Nice shot anyway though

Thanks! I have it coded that way because nothing else useful will read properly (or it brings up the wrong framelines, I forgot offhand). I'd have to have the mount flange machined. I just forgot to change it in the MENU manually...

I just bought this lens. The package arrived at 2:00pm this afternoon, which left me with just enough time to go out for a quick maiden shoot. These are all on the M9P with the lens coded as a 21mm 2.8 Elmarit ASPH as suggested by Michael.

Those are great, Antonio! Congrats on the new lens, too. Looks like a keeper.

Are you using a finder at all?
