I love this lens. About a year and a half ago, I was thinking of buying it but was having a hard time finding an example to try. Enrolled in Leica Akademie to be able to shoot with one for a few hours but when they passed the lenses out, I ended up with a 21mm Lux... ;) Not exactly what I was hoping for - but it's a great lens!

Here's hoping these samples show off the 90mm.

Here's another. The 100% crop is at the left of the frame. The DNGs were opened in ACR 4.7 with the defaults.

Very nice. I've always wanted to try what many consider the best 35mm camera lens ever made.

Thanks for posting, keep um coming

One more with crop. I'm using a Match Technical 1.25x magnifier but as you can see from the crop, the point of sharpest focus is somewhat arbitrary. Compared to other Leica lenses, the size of this one makes the photographer a bit more noticeable.

There's a bit more to the story of how I didn't get to shoot this lens when I'd enrolled in the Leica Akademie just to do so. The day after the Akademie I was at Camera West in Walnut Creek and ran into Tom Brichter, a regional Leica rep who'd been at the Akademie. He was showing around the head of Leica USA, a very nice fellow. Tom said hello and as we talked I told him about not getting to shoot the lens and he told me to go to the Akademie later that afternoon and he'd arrange for me to take it out before the class went out to do their street shooting. I drove right over there and took the lens out for an hour. Seeing the files from that shoot convinced me to buy it. Thanks Tom!

Again, imported using the default sharpening of ACR 4.7.
