Hi, Guys - I guess it's guys only so far? I've been using Leicas almost exclusively since 1980. Almost because when I had to switch to digital, Leica wasn't ready so I had a brief Canon experience. I'm so glad to be back to Leica and now with the MM I'll be able to carry two Leicas - one for color and one for B&W - which is the way I always worked with film Leicas. Hope to have some great conversations about my favorite camera.

Tina

Hi,
a newcomer on LVL from Brazil and recent M user.
Got an M8 in November 2011 and have gotten a few film bodies with the M mount since plus a few lenses...
Cheers!
Jean-Marc

Hi, Tina and Jean-Marc. Welcome to LVL. :)

My alter ego is also primarily Canon and I ended up like Jean-Marc... Picked up an RF, added an M or three, lenses... 'Tis a slippery slope!

Hello all.

Just joined today. I've come from another Leica camera forum but I won't name any names. Lets just say that as a result of recent events, I am struggling to maintain my usually high enthusiasm for a hobby that I have held dear for at least 30 years.

You could say I'm feeling a bit de-flated.

This certainly looks like a nice easy place. What's the general forum's opinion on posting photography that doesn't measure up to the standards of Magnum? :)

Unfortunately, I think several of us can relate, Ming. Welcome to the refuge! :)

As for photos, we're not critical (unless asked) and they're all good to post. We definitely maintain a light, friendly atmosphere here. Don't let the politics and other nonsense get you down... You've found the right place. Welcome!

Another newb here. I'm in northwest Florida, picked up a sweet M3 a couple of years ago and have become enamored with all things Leica since. Hey dave.gt, I already kinda "know" you from other forums. I just found this place a couple of days ago, so it looks like I have some catching up to do! Double Negative, I'm glad to see you here too. I've been toying with the idea of trying my hand at processing my own B&W at home before long. I have a Plustek scanner and the prospect of controlling more myself as well as cutting costs is intriguing.

Jeff

Hi, Jeff! Welcome aboard. M3; an excellent choice!

If you need help with processing, we've got you covered.
