We apologize for the downtime earlier today. Apparently our service provider didn't relay some critical information to us... Such as, "we're upgrading you today." So thank you for your patience and understanding.

In any event, site access should be quite a bit faster now!

Enjoy. :)

That's great...the other forum (you know which one) is busy eating their own, deleting posts and were down at the same time....glad to see it was both separate and a necessary improvement!

Now, if this site would just remember my username and password so I don't have to start from scratch periodically. :|

Sounds like the status quo is alive and well... ;)

As for you getting logged out, that was my fault... Over the weekend I "cleared out the cobwebs" (including sessions) and optimized the database. Unfortunately, the side effect is that everyone got logged out. The way around that is to have your browser remember your login info, so all you have to do is click "log in." But I don't plan to do this again for quite some time so you should be okay - aside from the automatic timeout (which does happen regularly).

If people really find this to be an issue, we can look at extending it.

Browser cache works quite nicely as well as the various forum readers on tablets and such. I guess it's more an "issue" of user habits :-)

Indeed, yes. Lots of ways to get from A to B. :)
