As some of you may have heard... There's a lil' storm approaching the east coast of the U.S.A. ;)

If for some reason the site isn't available over the next 72 hours, that's most likely why. Rest assured we'll be back up ASAP!

Good luck with that!

Being from the Gulf Coast I know what you're in for.

Keep your head down.

Thanks! The media is making it into a Frankenstorm of epic proportions... And of course everyone's panicking and hitting the grocery stores and gas stations. Hopefully it won't cause too much trouble.

That reminds me, I have to go charge the Canon 1D batteries... ;)

The winds are just starting to gust 'round here. Won't be long now.

Oh, I have no worries. We've had our share of hurricanes up here - like Gloria... The last one, Irene - was damaging but not crazy. We haven't had an EPIC storm here since 1938 I believe it was. No comparison to what the south gets. You guys are right in the heart of it. Out to the Carolinas.

The wind is really picking up now - becoming steadier.

I'm looking forward to some shots. Break out the M7 too, not technically weather sealed but with a piece of tape around battery compartment you're good to go!

Right on, Alex! Not a bad idea. :)

It's still gusting but the background wind is more constant and stronger. The gusts are getting more frequent and a bit scary at times. The rain is picking up a little but nothing major. It resembles a nor'easter more than anything right now.

Still gusty, but wind is strong enough that rain is now nearly horizontal - which is also picking up.
