I am considering buying a Billingham bag and was disappointed with how far I would have to travel to a stockist, so a bit more digging and I find they are made about 3 miles from where I live! looks like a visit is due.

Nice! That's certainly convenient, especially if you can drop in. Do they have a showroom?

They don't have a showroom, but are happy for me to visit and they can show me the models I want to look at, any ideas which ones are going to be useful for a MM, and 3 lens? Looking for the smallest I can get away with.

I carry an M9-P and three lenses in the Billingham for Leica bag.
Perfect fit.

You can't go wrong with a Billingham. It is really too bad they stopped making the backpack, though.

I would love to have one of the backpacks they used to make, as I cannot carry much weight (or carry a lighter load for long) in a satchel type camera bag these days. My right shoulder fell victim to that dread condition known as Photographer's Shoulder.

I'm using the bare bones bag evolution or bbb-e from figitalrevolution.com.

Fits Leica M with lens attached + 2-3 lenses (depengin on size, you can stack) and iPad + various small items.

In warm conditions I would normally stack my lenses (there are separating cushions) and free the second lens slot for 0,5 litre water bottle.

Zipper pockets in front, under the main flap, for keys, wallet etc.

They're now testing a leather version of it, which looks great as well!

I've had this bag for around 2 years now and it's great.

As a long time Billingham user, I certainly wish they would bring back several products, The Coat, and Backpack are at the top of my list.

However since they are in no hurry, I found that Filson now makes two photo Backpacks.

While they are no Billingham, their quality is top drawer.

Oh, I have had my Billingham Hadley Pro for about 6 years, and it seems to get better with age (less formal, if you will).
