That's some interesting stuff, Fernando. I don't recall how much I paid for mine, but it was dirt cheap (<€35) and I got it at the Waterlooplein (flea market) in Amsterdam back in 99 or so. I remember one flight back from Europe, the bag was STUFFED completely full, and the airline gave me grief over it... I told them I had camera gear in it and that I would, under no circumstance, check it. No problem. Heh. :)

Still have it!

It has to be my ThinkTank Retrospective 7. Not too big, perfect for carrying around all day and can take my iPad too.

Cheers, Macjim.

Expensive bag, but a really good one.. Bare Bones Bag - E. I've had it for some months now and absolutely love it. Not too much padding and doesn't scream camera bag. Mainly padding is in the bottom of the bag. I think it's 2-3mm of neoprene, which is enough protection if you don't toss the bag around.

Has enough room for body with lens + 2 extra lenses, 0,5ltr bottle of water, wallet, keys, iPhone, bits & bobs... and on the backside pocket for iPad. I carried all that around in it in the heatwave in Spain this summer. Was absolutely brilliant. M9 + 50 slux, 35/2 biogon, 90 elmarit-m and the rest mentioned above. Of course most of the time I left the iPad at the apartment, but occasionally was carrying that also.

Billingham L2. Perfect size for a small (4-5 lenses) Leica M outfit.

Cheers,

Antonio

I've wrestled with the problem of finding the better bag, and in the process of bought and then sold or given away a number of them. Ultimately I've found I'm happy with what I've been using for some years: a canvas Domke satchel. It holds a body with lens, a couple of spare lenses, and has two front pockets for accessories, a big open pocket in back for ipad, and two zippered pockets in the flap: put your keys, cellphone and pocket flashlight in the zippered flap pockets when going through airport security. A serviceably lovely and low-key bag.

Recently, in anticipation of (perhaps) going about with two bodies, I bought a larger canvas Domke. My only complaint with this new one is that it's deeper and more difficult to extract the camera.

^ That's sweet buckles. I need to get a Domke insert myself.

I think I have found my favorite travel bag. Just big enough to hold the MBA 13" and a well-stocked M system. Perhaps you've seen the review? The Wotancraft Ranger. ;)

Seriously, for travel this thing is awesome. I could've used it in Belize and Guatemala to some degree - but I really look forward to using it in Peru - during the waning of the wet season early next year!

I wrote to them and asked which of their camera bags would be good for two M bodies with lens attached. They replied City Explorer Scout would do the job. Not all that expensive, relatively. But then I decided it was too eye-catching.

Yeah, the Scout would be the perfectly sized bag for such a configuration. I think the pictures make it a little "louder" than it really is. Especially once the bag is broken in. But there's no getting over the distinctive design... You're right on that one.

Have you checked out Crumpler's ____ Million Dollar Home line of bags? Messenger style in a variety of sizes and colors, completely covered in Velcro inside and inexpensive.

This is my new favorite everyday carry bag:

It lets me carry a camera body, three lenses and a few accessories comfortably all day long. It is just an outstanding camera bag; I highly recommend it.

I have started to use the Billingham Eventer with a set of Hadley pro dividers. It holds my daily stuff and a body with three lenses.
