Well, I love the Leica MR4 on the M3. Very accurate as it has been rigorously checked with the X1.

The iPhone app is very accurate too.

I'm going to have to check the iPhone app again... At least I know I'll usually have it on me, and it's one less thing to carry if nothing else!

My favorite (and at present only) hand meter is the Sekonic L-508. I like this meter so much that I may pick up a second copy from eBay.

Anyone use a Lumu out there? Seems that for the money, you're better off with a 308, IMO.

I bought the Luxi during their initial "Kickstarter" project. I wanted an inexpensive incident meter and I do use it occasionally. I've also tried a couple different apps to use it with but found some of them do not offer 160 ISO a deal breaker for me and my M-E as its the base ISO I normally have my camera set to.

So now I'm using the FotometerPro app.

I'm using the SS04 sensor + LxMeter app. It supports flash measurements and it is much cheaper than Lumu (http://www.optivelox.com/DL_en/ss0x.htm).

Most of the time I use the meter in my M-E.
When I really want to understand and control the exposure, or when I am in my painting studio preparing reference photographs for a portrait and moving studio lights around, I use a Gossen LunaPro SBC (silicon blue cell). I particularly like the Zone Photography scale on that meter's dial. Also, that meter uses a null metering system, which I find very intuitive when thinking about relative light levels. Unlike the other LunaPro meter which uses discontinued disc batteries, the SBC uses a single AA battery.
I am fortunate to live in Hollywood, California: its convenient for me to have my meter periodically calibrated by Quality Light-Metric, the firm which calibrates exposure meters for the major motion picture studios.
In chatting with the fellows at QLM, and with a cinematographer acquaintance, I heard that the Minolta IV-f meter is highly regarded in the motion picture industry. It is discontinued by Minolta but still manufactured under license by Kenko. It also shows up used on eBay. I'm thinking about giving it a try.
