So your gear is a little funky looking (or smelling) after a night of "street shooting" eh? Or maybe just dusty, dingy or slobbered on by the dog... Here's a great product for cleaning the outside of your gear (and not, for example - lens elements!).

I've been using this stuff called "Endust for Electronics" from Sara Lee Household and Body Care USA - the same people that make regular "Endust Furniture Polish." Not every grocery store and supermarket carries it, so you might have to shop around... It doesn't contain any silicone but acts similarly by removing smudges, dirt, fingerprints, etc. It smells decent, or at least fresh and contains anti-static ingredients.

I usually spray a clean microfiber cloth so that it's evenly damp (not soaked or wet) and go over lenses (cover the front/rear elements with caps), camera bodies, lens hoods, flashes, etc. and then follow up with a dry section of the cloth again to remove any excess.

This stuff makes things like metal and rubber parts look and smell like new and leaves behind an anti-static property. After about five years of use so far, I've never had any issues with using it - no build-up, no fading of paint, no greasy feeling, etc. Highly recommended!

The can looks like this:

Yep, highly recommended. Been using that for a couple of years and it is a great product! Also used it on my carbon fibre bicycle with great results.
