So how long would a memory card last at the bottom of a muddy creek, you wonder?

Well, at least three years going by this article!

We've heard of cards going through the wash, but this is something else. Of course, had it been salt water it probably wouldn't have ended so well.

Very impressive story of investigation. I expect to see the camera on eBay soon-"used in the rain once, now the camera doesn't seem to work for some reason, but the lens looks minty"
