Leica Releases Summilux-M 90mm f/1.5 ASPH

Leica Camera today has released the Summilux-M 90mm f/1.5 ASPH lens. Consisting of an optical design with eight elements arranged into six groups, two of which are aspherical, as well as a floating lens element group. Offering a depth of field just half that of the legendary Noctilux-M 50mm f/0.95 ASPH and sporting 11 aperture blades, the bokeh is sure to please. Priced at $12,995 USD. Read more below!

Why Leica Cameras Will Never Go Out of Style

Leica Camera chairman Andreas Kaufmann reveals his strategy for keeping the iconic German camera brand relevant in the "Why Leica Cameras Will Never Go Out Of Style" over on the Singapore Tatler. He tells us that tradition still counts for something, and Leica is one of the very few remaining producers of film cameras but notes that “we are not a museum and we are not state-funded. Meyer-Optik-Görlitz Nocturnus III 50mm f0.95

Meyer-Optik has just announced the launch of the Nocturnus III 50 f0.95. The super-fast manual-focus lens is optimized for use with full-frame sensors, but also works with APS-C cameras. The third edition comes in a new design and now features mounts for Sony-E, Fuji-X and Leica M. Within the next 14 days, the lens is offered in a pre-order sale where it is available for less than 60% of its future MSRP.

Leica Announces Sofort Instant Cameras
