Well, it's vacation and travel time again!

This time spending the whole month in Fuengirola, Spain. We rented an appartment there for August. Great location, on the main beach boulevard on 4th floor with big balcony opening with views over the beach & sea. It's nothing luxurious, but well equipped normal appartment. We've rented it for two weeks couple of years ago and now wantes to stay longer..

Anyway, trip should open some nice photo opportunities as well. Taking my M, Q and as a new thing the GoPro Hero 4 Black Edition with me.

Going to do at least couple of hikes, including Camino Del Rey - which prior to renevation was regarded as worlds most dangerous hike! Now it's easy & safe so no worries but sights should still be fantastic.

Also staying over night in Granada and going to visit the Alhambra palace. It's said to be magnificient.

Day in Sevilla is also in consideration, since we could take one of the high speed trains from Malaga and go there.. roughly 2,5h per direction. But then that big city and only one day is little bit iffy.

Brilliant things these "budget airliners".. flights 2 ways were less than 300€ per head and yet, I got reserved seat at bulkhead (legroom, I'm 6"5') and wifi is included for free.. flying Norwegian and writing this somewhere over Europe at 10+ km altitude [emoji106][emoji16]

edit: Heck, even Netflix works! Just watched a full movie..

Have a great time. Can't wait to see some pix from your trip. I've never been to Spain, but would really like to go, especially to Madrid. If I had to choose one art museum in the world to visit, it would be the Prado. Most portrait painters I know (myself included) consider Diego Valezquez the painter's painter.

You should go, Madrid is fantastic! Book hotel in heart of old town and you won't regret it. Spent 4 days there last year and loved every moment of it. Such a historical city..

Very nice! I'm jealous too... Always wanted to get to Spain. Go figure, my aunt and uncle had a house in the south but they've since moved back to Germany. D'ohh!

Take plenty of pictures! ;)

It's a long time since I holidayed there. We used to have a time share down the coast when the kids were young.
Be sure to get up into the hills for great views, white walled villages and a glimpse of the 'real' Spain.
Ironically we've just returned from Scandinavia or Sweden to be precise.

Went to Mijas pueblo, did caminito del rey, dropped by in Malaga.. currently overnighting in Granada with views towards Alhambra (visting it tomorrow). Also checked out Estepona & admired the fortunes of the rich in Marbella.

Going to visit Malaga again before leaving, it's less than hour train commute and the train stop is about 5 minute walk from our rental in Torreblanca.

During our last visit here 4 years ago we went to Ronda and some other mountain villages & visited Gibraltar.
