Well, sold the D40, got the Pro bag yesterday and I was completely surprised at the quality, the fit and the ability to carry all that I have that is Leica and still have a lot of room left over!

Mind you that I use an M3 w/ lens, an R4 w/ lens, a film POS (err...point and shoot) and carry film, moleskine notebooks, cleaning kit, and a host of personal items. The bag is only 2/3 full and I still have two huge slots open for carrying a notebook, iPad (if I used one), magazine, etc. as well as room for another M body.

Amazing. :D

Sweet! It's great having a bag that works well for you. Funny how much bigger they seem without an SLR stuffed in there. :P

Billingham definitely makes some good stuff. Though, I find them a bit... Of an acquired taste...

Yeah, can't take the Billingham just anywhere but the weddings, special events and such do require a professional appearance when wearing a suit or tux. Can't bring myself to carrying a beat up canvas domke to those.

I still have my old waist pack for the other day-to-day work.

Wow, just got back from the local Apple PeachMac store. The iPad2 fits perfectly in the zipped pocket on the back of the Billingham pro bag! Now, to save up to actually buy an iPad2.

No worries, still working on a new portfolio for presentations anyway. :D

I have a Hadley Pro, but have found it more useful as a briefcase than a camera bag.
Remove the insert and it nicely fits a small laptop and a portfolio, business folders and an i-pod. (The insert makes a nice closet storage item for extra lenses etc.)

I love that Billingham stuff.

My wife refers to it as "Dooney and Bourke for men"

I carry my Hadley Pro almost every day. After almost nine years of ownership and use, it is finally starting to show signs of being broken in. A lot of bags would look like hammered s **t by now.

One thing I started doing is treating the leather on the bag with boot treatment like you would use on leather hiking boots (Limmer Boot Grease or Biwell in the red tube). Treat the leather about three times a year and it will last forever with no drying & cracking.

With a tan Billingham or any of the light colors you need to take care to avoid getting the leather treatment on the fabric or else it will leave a dark stain.

I recently purchased a like new used Billingham Combination Leica bag. Perfect for my Ricoh GXR-M kit.

i bought one of these the other day and so far so good. when i have to travel into the city, it comfortably holds one body and lens, laptop and power cables, notebook etc.. and the smart black colour blends in well.

recently i had a Barbour wax cotton/leather briefcase with padded inserts for camera gear but sold it following a drunken mishap in a pub. this involved someone inadvertently taking my bag home and leaving me with their exact same bag with not so exciting contents. fortunately, once i had identified who it was, the 'accidental thief' was a star considering it had gone midnight and he was at home tucked up in bed. he made his way across London to meet me and we made the exchange on a railway platform as i had to catch the last train home for the night.

I am considering buying a Billingham bag and was disappointed with how far I would have to travel to a stockist, so a bit more digging and I find they are made about 3 miles from where I live! looks like a visit is due.
