Just to give an update on the Sekonic spot meter. After contacting Sekonic UK asking to purchase a case for the L-608 they said that they have a spare FREE case which they will send to me. Now that's good PR I think you will agree.

I use a Sekonic L308S and it works fine, use it with my M3. I also compared it to the internal meter on my M6 and its spot on.

Hello DNolo, just to give me peace of mind I have sent the meter to Sekonic for them to check that it is accurate... I'll post an update when it returns.

That is pretty sweet of them! Glad that L308S is working great for you. Mine's been really dependable, and the AA battery lasts forever. My only gripe is that it doesn't have a backlight... Oh well.

Hopefully the L608 checks out.

To give closer to this episode. The meter was sent to Sekonic who in turn adjusted the calibration. The final bill, £90 so all should be good to go . Must recommend the company because the customer service is 'spot on'.
