Two New Leica Limited Editions

We've got two new Leica limited editions to tell you about you about today, based on a Leica M9-P and M7 (with an M9 to follow).

The first, pictured above - is the Leica Camera Japan's new “Leica M9-P silver red leather set” limited edition camera. Only 30 pieces will be produced. The camera will come with a silver Leica Elmarit M 28mm f/2.8 ASPH lens and will be available only at the Futago Tamagawa Leica store in Tokyo. More info at this (translated) link.

The second is a collaboration between Leica Camera and the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Xinhai Revolution with this limited edition M7. Clad in green leather, this edition is limited to 101 pieces. The top plate is inscribed with the words “天下为公。孙文” ("Things. Sun Yat-sen"), and on the back has the words “辛亥革命一百周年纪念 1911-2011” ("Xinhai Revolution Centennial,1911-2011"). A matching 50mm f/1.4 Summilux lens comes with the camera. They intend to produce an M9 (as well as an X1 and D-Lux 5) in a similar fashion. More info at this (translated) link.
